FAQ
Ladies Golf Tour – Frequently Asked Questions
The following FAQs are generic and cover all ladiesgolftour.co.uk events
Should I book now or wait until closer to the event?
If you would like to play in a specific event, then book now, as there are only 40 places (20 pairs) at each event and next time you look, they may be gone.
Do you need payment in full up front?
No, you can secure your places for a deposit of £100 per person, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to the event. You may of course decide to pay in full up front, entirely your choice. We ask that the lead booker for each pairing pays on behalf of both players please.
What happens if an event is oversubscribed?
You will be able to register for the event in the normal way, but no payment will be taken until a space becomes available. We will offer cancellation places on a first come first served basis once an event is full. You will receive a confirmation email when you secure a place.
How do we provide our details?
You will need to register via our website first before you can enter any events. All you need is your CDH number and to confirm some personal details and you’ll be registered.
When will we know our tee times?
Tee times for both days will be confirmed in advance, so please ensure you arrive well ahead of your tee time. There will be plenty to do while you are waiting to tee off, whether it’s having a go at our putting challenge, a little retail therapy with our products partners or catching up with friends (old and new), so enjoy some ‘you’ time. We will accommodate requests for 4 balls for day 1 or day 2, but on the other day we will match you and your playing partner with a pair of new golfing friends!
What is your policy on cancellation and refunds?
Within your package price there is a deposit of 15%. If you cancel at any time, this deposit is non-refundable as it covers administration and cancellation charges with the venue. Further cancellation charges will apply the closer you get to the event, and we will flow down the respective cancellation terms and conditions from each venue. If you cancel your booking, we will endeavour to resell your places to minimise any loss over and above your deposit. Any cancellation made within 6 weeks of any event is unlikely to result in us being able to offer you any form of refund.
Do I need a formal WHS Index to join your events?
Yes. The handicap allowance across our events is 85% of a maximum WHS handicap of 36. This means your official WHS handicap could be higher than 36 but we are applying a maximum of 36 for calculating handicap allowances for our tour events.
Some golf venues may have specific maximum handicap levels with which we will comply. An example is “The Belfry”, where the maximum WHS handicap allowed is 32.
What’s the pace of play like at your events?
We take the pace of play seriously, however with a 4-ball format, customers need to be aware that typically rounds will take longer than a normal social round. Ladies are requested to be respectful of other players and the following are guidelines to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience:
- Please pick up if you are unable to score, as all our events are better ball stableford format.
- Try and maintain the starting interval throughout and keep up with the group in front, not just ahead of the group behind.
- There will be a starter on the course for each event managing tee off times and there will be marshalls checking in from time to time during play.
What is the prize format?
At the end of Day 2 of each event there will be an informal prize giving, while you enjoy food and refreshments. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 pairings at each event, and there will be other spot prizes for Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive, etc.
What prizes can we win?
The prizes at each tour event are all from premium sponsors, who together with the Ladies Golf Tour team, have chosen some highly desirable products from their current range.
